As WWF enters its seventh decade in Africa, we’re seeking a visionary Regional Director for East and Southern Africa (ESA) to lead strategic planning, conservation impact, and institutional development across one of the continent’s most dynamic regions.
The successful candidate will:
✅ Provide strategic and people leadership to WWF Country Offices across East and Southern Africa
✅ Strengthen WWF’s profile, partnerships, and influence across governments, regional bodies, and civil society
✅ Drive operational excellence and deliver measurable conservation results
✅ Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation across the region
We’re looking for a proven leader with:
🌿 Extensive experience in senior leadership at a regional or international level
🌿 Strong background in conservation, development, or policy influence
🌿 Deep understanding of East and Southern Africa’s socio-political landscape
🌿 Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
🌿 Fluency in English (French an asset)
