This website was created to make the UNWC User’s Guide [PDF] more widely accessible and is intended for anyone wishing to gain more insight into the content and relevance of the Convention’s text.
The UNWC is a global treaty adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1997. It is a framework convention governing international watercourses.
The User’s Guide and this accompanying website were designed to give the tools and information to make the Convention and its role more widely known, in the hopes of a swift entry into force of the UNWC.
