Donors/Funders:
USAID Resilient Waters Programme
Implementers:
Pafuri-Sengwe Joint Park Management Committee
Objectives:
The Conservation & Development Framework for the Pafuri-Sengwe Node should establish the following: (1) A joint vision for the Node; (2) A set of key joint operational issues that need to managed; (3) A suite of actions that need to be undertaken to manage these issues; (4) A set of responsibilities informing who should undertake these actions; (5) The schedule by when the action needs to be undertaken; (6) A framework and implementation plan to guide and govern future development in the Node; and (7) A monitoring and reporting programme.

In order to guide the activities of the Joint Park Management Committees in each one of the GLTFCA nodes, an integrated conservation and development framework (CDF) needs to be developed to support the development, management and implementation joint operational activities of the four Joint Park Management Committees in the GLTFCA.  The CDF needs to address the following key joint thematic areas: (1) Conservation & Wildlife Management; (2) Land Use Planning & Management; (3) Responsible Tourism; (4) Socio-Economic Development; (5) Improved Land & Air Access; (6) Integrated Water Resource & Freshwater Ecosystems Management; (7) Marketing, Communication & Awareness Raising; (8) Joint Training, Learning & Skills Development; (9) Governance & Administration.
