Yapende Mazingira Foundation (YMF) is a nationally registered Tanzanian non governmental organization with Registration Number 00NGO/R/5354, Established on
August 25, 2023, under the NGO Act No. 24 of 2002 as amended.
Yapende Mazingira Foundation is dedicated to advancing environmental protection and sustainable development
through inclusive, community-based approaches. The organization works closely with
local communities to address climate challenges, improve natural resource management
and promote sustainable livelihoods. It focuses on engaging youth, empowering
marginalized groups, and fostering innovation to drive long-term ecological and social
resilience. YMF’s initiatives are grounded in practical, participatory methods that integrate
